I would try fishing off of the wall at moores creek sailboat marina or at the tailwater below the dam (even though its snaggy if your not used to fishing it). I always have luck at these places .

Anglers are catching lots of crappie in the main lake

Monroe reservoir: Next week will be good for Bluegill fishermen wanting to take advantage of catching bluegills on the beds . I saw some nesting areas today starting to show some activity . The full moon will be on the 10th and this will be prime time .
Dwight and Pat Brzinski from Pierceton IN , caught 300+ Crappie on Monroe with J & R on Monday . 38 were kept and one Channel Cat . Alot of small ones were released . The spawn is well underway with the buck brush loaded with male Crappie . Catfish are being caught in the same areas indicating that alot of the eggs have already been dropped .

The Crappie have been biting around the docks at the fourwinds, also caught a Small Channel Cat.
